Wadowice is a little township placed in the Malopolska voivodeship, just about fifty kilometers from Krakow. It is mainly known for being the birthplace of the Pope John Paul the 2nd.
Born in 1920, he used to live there till 1938 so many places in Wadowice are connected with his life at the time of his maturity. When you arrive there proceed to Koscielna 7 Street where you will find the original flat where the Pope was given birth.
Tourists are shown some retained original devices and belongings of Wojtyla’s family suchlike pieces of home furniture, photographs, publications, even a set of skiing accessories. In the vicinity of the flat there is the stunning baroque church building of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary at the central square where the immature Karol Wojtyla used to go aside.
Guests can also see the high school he went to in lovely Wadowice. The town itself has origins in thirteen century so there exists lots of some other significant structures.
